Chevy styling is more conservative, and more mature, with smoother, more sophisticated lines. The chrome front bumper includes two airflow cutouts. The body-colored lower front fascia, the instrument cluster features highly legible gauges with white backlighting and orange pointers. Vortec 6.0 liter V-8 LQ4 engine, rated at 345 horsepower and 380 Ib-ft of torque, automatic transmissions with a "tow/haul" mode that reduces shifting under heavy loads. Front-impact airbags for the driver and passenger (cancellable passenger) have been designed to protect the head during a frontal crash. The floor shifter has locked in 4wd high and low ranges. Tilt steering, cruise control that works, compass in the rearview mirror. The instrument panel features a large speedometer and tachometer—smaller gauges to the right display oil pressure, water temperature, fuel quantity, and battery charge. HD models with the heavy-duty trailering package come with a transmission temperature gauge on the left. All use highly legible white-on-black graphics. Full power options that all work, dual power heated turn signal camper towing mirrors, cloth interior, the bucket seats are separated by a deep center console that holds lots of stuff. The top of the lid features a nice rubber-lined indention handy for small items, dual climate control heat and a/c system, a/c blows ice cold, center console, and traditional large capacity glove box. Factory Delco seek-scan AM/FM/EQ/Aux/Mp3 CD stereo with 31 settings on the steering wheel, LS package, quad cab for easy in and out, quad cabs offer roomy rear seats and additional interior cargo space. The back seats in quad cab models are very comfortable, similar to the rear seats in a Suburban or Tahoe. The rear seats can be flipped up, to provide a big, secure cargo area. The heavy-duty brake system has large-diameter front and rear disc rotors and stiff brake calipers, Stabili Trak with proactive roll avoidance stability control, and 4-wheel Anti-lock brakes ABS. Front recovery hooks, push button rear cargo light, heavy-duty rear locking differential, specially tuned shock absorbers and springs, skid shields, four-wheel disc brakes. Factory fender flares, fog lights, chrome nerf bars, rear window defrost, short bed for all your hauling needs, chrome rear bumper, trailer tow package maximum 14,800 pounds when properly equipped. Factory keyless entry with lock/alarm, chrome wheels with brand new tires. A three-quarter-ton BAD BOY that ain't afraid to get DIRTY.
